This project included 3200’ of new trenching, installation of eight (8) 6×6 manholes, installation of Parallel 5” PVC conduits and 24” x 12”concrete duct banks, provision and installation of a 200KVA 34.5kv-48-/277v transformer, installation of 480/277v 2500a MCB switchgear with Nexus Meter and replacement of the existing Medium Voltage switch, installation of 9000’ of 1/0 EPR 35kv Medium Voltage Cable with all terminations, and installation of six (6) sets of 350 KCMIL secondary conductors to the switchgear. Fire stoppage measures in all penetrations through fire-rated spaces were with U.L. listed materials. Following installation of new electrical service, Ranco subsequently energized and fully tested the new system prior to handoff to government. Ranco Construction provided all necessary material, skilled labor, equipment/tools, supervision, and Quality Control (QC) to construct a new underground power distribution system for Motion Platform Test Site for NAVAIR.
